Rescuers resume search of Co Donegal river
Rescuers in Co Donegal are due to resume their search today for a young man who fell into the River Finn in Ballybofey last night.
The man, believed to be 18-years-old, was with friends at the rear of a GAA field when he and a 22-year-old man fell into the water shortly before 8pm.
The older man was rescued and taken to hospital, but the teenager was swept away, sparking a search involving local gardai, firemen and residents.
Bad weather and poor light eventually hampered their efforts and the search was called off at around 12.30am.
Divers are due to join the operation this morning.
