MEPs call for nuclear cargo control on Irish Sea

Irish MEPs in Strasbourg are calling on the European Commission to stop shipments of nuclear waste travelling up and down the Irish Sea.

Two massive tankers, carrying MOX plutonium are expected to reach our waters during next week, on its way to Sellafield.

The shipment is being returned by Japan after Sellafield admitted records being falsified.
