Appeal for witnesses

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run traffic accident which occurred on the N8 near the Tipperary roundabout in Cahir Co Tipperary this morning at approx 7.55am.

A male pedestrian was crossing the road when he was hit by a black saloon type car which failed to stop and continued in the Dublin direction. The injured man received serious leg injuries and has been taken to hospital.
