Bomb alert disrupts traffic in Belfast

There has been serious traffic disruption in Belfast this afternoon following a bomb alert on the city’s Westlink Road.

At least one controlled explosion was carried out on a bread van at the centre of the incident.

It is believed the van’s driver was stopped while driving near the Grosvenor Road junction and the device was placed in his vehicle.
