Committee formed to represent republican prisoners

A committee has been formed in Belfast to speak for all republican prisoners still in jail.

The committee does not include Sinn Féin but does include members of Republican Sinn Fein, the 32 County Sovereignty Committee and the Irish Republican Socialist Party.

The committee is campaigning for segregation at Maghaberry Prison as a first step towards the restoration of political status.
