Man dies after being hit by train

A man in his early 20s has died after being struck by a train in Co Kildare last night.

The incident happened at around 8.20pm near Louisa Bridge in Leixlip.

The man, believed to be local, was rushed to hospital in Dublin, where he subsequently died.
