Envoy thanks Irish for Holly and Jessica messages
The British embassy in Dublin has thanked Irish people who sent messages of condolence over the deaths of Jessica Chapman and Holly Wells.
Charge d’Affaires John Rankin said: “Following the deaths, hundreds of cards and bouquets of flowers have been delivered to the embassy.
“We also know that books of condolence have been opened in towns and villages across Ireland.
“A tragedy of this kind knows no borders, and we have been hugely touched by the response of Irish people.
“We shall ensure that all the messages received are passed to the families and community in Soham.”
