Anti-racism rally to take place in Dublin today

Anti-racism campaigners will take to the streets of Dublin City centre later today.

The rally is being held in the wake of a number of racially-motivated attacks in the capital and around the country. Organisers are urging people to show their disgust by turning up for the rally.

SIPTU’s Mike Jennings, who will be speaking at the rally, says with a growing immigrant population, Ireland must not encourage prejudice.

The rally will start at the GPO on O'Connell STreet at 3pm.
