The manager of a Dublin equestrian club appeared in court today on drugs charges following the discovery of cannabis on his premises.

The manager of a Dublin equestrian club appeared in court today on drugs charges following the discovery of cannabis on his premises.

Ray Molloy, of the Slade Valley club, at Rathcoole, Co Dublin was accused of possessing drugs with intent to supply.

Detectives investigating one of the country’s biggest drug trafficking gangs on Wednesday found 485 kilogrammes of cannabis and a quantity of arms and ammunition buried in the grounds of the club.

Molloy, 30, was remanded in custody for a week.
