Man assaulted in West Dublin

A man from Clondalkin in West Dublin is undergoing surgery following a violent assault last night.

Three men and a woman burst into the house at Neilstown Drive just before midnight after smashing a glass panel in the door.

The lone occupant was beaten with a golf club and then stabbed in the neck and stomach.

The victim is being treated at Tallaght Hospital today.
