An Post and the Irish Postmasters Union have begun talks aimed at averting industrial action which could delay the deliver of CAO offers to school-leavers.

IPU members from 1,700 post offices nationwide have threatened to withdraw from providing some services from next Monday because of An Post’s intransigence and its efforts to take advantage of postmasters.
