Punishment victims main suspects in Belfast murder
Police in the North have revealed that three victims of republican punishment attacks are the main suspects in the murder of a Protestant man in Belfast a year ago.
34-year-old David McDowell was beaten to death in the loyalist Shankill Road area on August 16 last year.
Days later, the three main suspects were shot during suspected republican punishment attacks.
The detective leading the investigation into the murder today released video footage taken minutes before the killing and appealed for witnesses to testify.
