Three dead, two injured in Louth crash

Three people have died and two others are seriously injured following a motorway crash in Co Louth.

The crash involving a car and a van happened just before 2pm today.

Gardai say the accident happened when a southbound car veered onto the northbound lane and collided with the van about a mile north of Monasterboice.

Emergency services are still at the scene and traffic is being diverted.
