Belfast’s Sinn Fein Lord Mayor Alex Maskey today urged nationalists in the south of the city to be on their guard after two pipe bombs were left in the area in recent days.

Noting devices were discovered in University Avenue and Walmer Street, the West Belfast MLA said nationalists needed to be careful in the face of an “upsurge in loyalist activity throughout Belfast over the past number of weeks”.
