More health service industrial action
Industrial strife in the health service is escalating with nurses at St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin voting for possible strike action.
The Irish Nurses' Organisation (INO) says management has withdrawn night-time support staff from an acute ward.
An hour-long work stoppage is planned for lunchtime on Tuesday, August 20, followed by a work to rule.
INO industrial relations officer Philip McAnenly says the changes have been introduced without any consultation with staff.
