Mother speaks about Dundalk abduction attempt

The mother of one of two children at the centre of an alleged abduction attempt in Co Louth last night has spoken about her family’s ordeal.

Jennifer Mullen’s daughter and her young friend were approached by a man in a white car in Dundalk last night and offered money to get into the vehicle.

Ms Mullen said today that the apparent abduction attempt has left the town in shock.

"We’re all shocked, everybody is shocked," she said.

"I’m sure they will not let their kids out of their sight until this fellow, whoever he is, is caught and I surely won’t rest until he is caught."
