Spotter plane joins search for armed men in Co Louth

A garda spotter plane has joined the search for a number of armed men seen acting suspiciously in Co Louth this afternoon.

The three men were apparently seen wearing balaclavas in a wooded area north of the village of Collon.

Six garda cars are also involved in the search and Gardai have asked motorists on the N1 and N2 between Collon and Ardee to report any suspicious activity.
