Gardaí launch hunt for armed raiders
Gardaí in Munster are currently searching for two armed gangs who held up a shop in Limerick and a bank in Co Cork this morning.
In the first incident, two masked men armed with handguns stole a substantial amount of cash from a shop in the Kilteely area of Limerick before escaping in a stolen silver car.
In the second raid, two armed men stole around €2,000 from an AIB branch in Inishannon, Co Cork, before escaping on a motorcycle. The motorcycle was found on fire a short time later.
Nobody was injured in either robbery and no shots were fired.
