Opposition join fight against student fee rise

Opposition parties have joined forces with the Union of Students in Ireland today in demanding the reversal of the 68% increase in third level registration fees from €394 to €670.

Opposition parties have joined forces with the Union of Students in Ireland today in demanding the reversal of the 68% increase in third level registration fees from €394 to €670.

USI President, Colm Jordan, said that there is no justification for this rise and students would need to be earning €10 an hour to afford the increase.
