Woman killed as garda car and taxi collide

A woman has died and a man is seriously injured following a collision between a garda patrol car and a hackney cab in Dublin.

The garda vehicle was responding to a public order incident when the accident occurred shortly before 11pm last night at the Newcastle junction of the N4 in Lucan.
