Church of Ireland Bishop condemns Derry murder
The Church of Ireland Bishop of Derry and Raphoe has condemned the murder of 51-year-old David Caldwell by dissident republicans last week.
In a statement released today, Bishop Ken Good said those responsible for the bomb attack at a British Territorial Army base on Derry’s Limavady Road committed a moral outrage.
"The path of violence has been tried and has failed," he said.
Bishop Good concluded: "New, better and more creative ways forward must be found in peace."
Bishop Good also urged loyalist paramilitaries not to retaliate for the murder.
