Lord Mayor defies death threat

Belfast Lord Mayor Alex Maskey today vowed to defy a death threat he claims was sent to City Hall by the loyalist Orange Volunteer Force.

Sinn Fein’s first mayor of the city said he was concerned, but would not be intimidated, after a bullet was received in the post on Friday morning, hours before thousands attended a rally against sectarianism.
