Men arrested in relation to Louth burglaries

Two men have been arrested in Co Louth in connection with a series of burglaries overnight in the Ardee and Collon areas.

Windows were smashed and other damage was done to properties just outside Drogheda.

The men, who are both in their mid-twenties, are being questioned in Dundalk garda station this morning.

They are being held under the Criminal Justice Act, which means they can be detained for up to 12 hours.
