Forged notes circulating in Laois and Kildare

Forged €20 and €50 notes are in circulation in Counties Laois and Kildare.

Gardai are asking anyone travelling through these counties to be alert to the forged notes. The warning follows the discovery of a number of counterfeit notes at Athy, Naas and Newbridge last week.
