Miserable holiday weekend predicted

Met Eireann has warned that Ireland will remain under cloud this Bank Holiday weekend, with forecasts of heavy rain and very little sunshine.

Conditions will be dull throughout the weekend, with outbreaks of rain, particularly in south-eastern counties.

Humidity is expected to remain high and winds will be very light.

Met Eireann said there will be an improvement on Monday, with some hazy sunshine.
