Civilian injured in Derry army camp blast
A man has been injured in an explosion at a British Territorial Army camp in Derry this morning.
The victim, who police said was a civilian contractor, is believed to have suffered serious injuries when he picked up a device inside the camp on Limavady Road at around 7.20am.
The device exploded in his hand, according to local DUP MP Gregory Campbell.
A number of families were evacuated from nearby homes and a security operation is continuing in the area.
