Crowds attend funeral of boating tragedy victim
The funeral took place this morning of Martin Roche, one of the victims of Sunday morning’s boating tragedy in Wexford.
Mr Roche was one of five people who lost their lives on an angling trip, which turned to tragedy.
The removals of Jim Cooney, his son-in-law Seamus Doyle and grandson Mark Doyle take place in New Ross, this evening at 5pm.
Niall McCabe, the acting town clerk, said more people had been in to sign the condolence book than any other he could remember.
He said that excerpts had to be added due to the huge numbers of people wishing to sign.
The removal of the sixth victim, John Cullen, takes place tonight at 7pm.
