O'Brien cuts holiday short to stand at Moriarty

Businessman Denis O’Brien had to cut short a family holiday to re-take the stand at the Moriarty Tribunal.

He spent 12 minutes in the witness stand where he said he had no knowledge of the new documents uncovered by the Tribunal.

The contents of the new documents are substantially different from the documents original submitted.

Mr. O’Brien said he didn’t understand why there was a gap of eight and half months in public sitting.

He said the Tribunal should continue the sitting through August and he welcomed the investigation of the ESAT licence to clear up innuendo and speculation.
