Fine Gael has accused the Government of dragging their heals on a report into motor insurance costs in Ireland.

Fine Gael has accused the Government of dragging their heals on a report into motor insurance costs in Ireland.

The party's spokesman on enterprise, trade and employment, Phil Hogan, today slammed the Tanaiste for her inaction in responding to the report of the Motor Insurance Advisory Board.

He accused her of allowing Irish consumers to be fleeced by high insurance premiums.

"The Tanaiste is dragging her heels in responding to the report. She has had ample time to take remedial steps to address the insurance scandal in Ireland," Mr Hogan said.
