Gardai deny threatening accused

Gardai investigating allegations of rape made by a Cork woman have denied threatening to handcuff and drag the accused to the garda station if he did not come voluntarily.

Sergeant Ben Flahive denied suggestions by defence counsel, Mr Blaise O'Carroll SC, that he threatened the accused at his home when he went to question him about the allegations.
