Woman remanded on bail charged with assaulting husband
A 45-year-old woman has been remanded on bail charged with assaulting her husband, whose body was found in the bedroom of their Dublin home yesterday morning.
Dolores O’Neill, 45, from Coolamber Park in Knocklyon, spoke just once during the hearing at Tallaght District Court, to confirm her identity.
The body of father of two Declan O’Neill, 46, was found at his home in Coolamber Park with serious head injuries. Ms O’Neill was today charged with assault causing harm.
The accused swayed back and forward as the details of her arrest were outlined. Detective Sargeant Dave Connolly said further charges may follow and objected to bail.
Bail was set at €1000 however, with an independent surety of €1000, and a cash lodgement of €1000.
She agreed to reside with her brother, who provided the surety, at Palmerstown Woods in Clondalkin. She must also sign on daily at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
She will appear in court again in one week’s time.
