IBEC lobbies Tanaiste on insurance reform
The employers’ body IBEC has presented Tanaiste Mary Harney with a five-point plan on its preferred changes to the insurance industry.
The plan includes the establishment of a personal injuries assessment board and guidelines on damages awards in the courts.
It was presented during talks today.
Speaking after the meeting, Brendan Butler, IBEC’s director of enterprise, said Ms Harney also promised to implement the recommendations of the Motor Insurance Advisory Board.
