Belfast Lord Mayor Alex Maskey has announced plans to convene a meeting of political, civic and religious leaders tomorrow afternoon in an attempt to tackle the ongoing sectarian conflict at interface areas in Belfast.

Speaking after talks with Jane Kennedy, the British Government’s security minister for the North, Mr Maskey said: “The ongoing sectarian conflict [has] contributed to an atmosphere of absolute despair and frustration.
