Power sharing executive will fail, says McGuinness

Sinn Fein have said that they believe that the power sharing executive in the North will not last until next year.

Speaking on RTE, the Education Minister for the North, Martin McGuiness, said that the parliamentary set-up will not last until the elections in May.

Mr McGuinness was speaking in advance of an expected statement from the British Prime Minister Tony Blair later this week.

Mr Blair is expected to make a comment on the status of paramilitary ceasefires in the North.
