Armed raiders rob bookies in Letterkenny

The Gardai have confirmed that a robbery has taken place in Donegal.

Three armed men are reported to have entered a bookies on the main street in Letterkenny.

The armed men were masked and entered the shop at around 4.20pm this afternoon.

They then made their escape with an undisclosed amount of money.

A green BMW was used to escape from the scene of the crime.

No shots were fired during the robbery and there were no injuries.

Gardai have now started an investigation into the incident.
