An Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to London was forced to make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport last night after smoke alarms sounded in the toilets.

An Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to London was forced to make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport last night after smoke alarms sounded in the toilets.

The alarms went off prior to take-off and again during the flight, prompting the pilot to divert as a precautionary measure.
