All seats filled on Seanad public administration panel
All seven places on the Seanad’s public administration committee have been filled.
Fianna Fail secured four seats for Camillus Glynn, Timmy Dooley, Tony Kett and Diarmad Wilson, while Fine Gael’s Frank Feehan and Joe McHugh also secured election.
The Labour Party’s Joanna Tuffy won the final seat. Among the high-profile losers today were Fine Gael’s Frances Fitzgerald and Fianna Fail duo Michael Kitt and Marian Magennis.
The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, is due to name his nominees to the Seanad next week.
