Man remanded on murder charge

A 22-year-old man appeared in court today charged with the murder of a middle-aged woman whose body was discovered in her flat in Cork.

Brian Walsh, of no fixed address, was arrested in the Mayfield area of Cork yesterday following the discovery of Nora Kiely’s body at her home on Leitrim St.
