McDowell secures seat on Seanad panel

The Labour Party’s Derek McDowell has become the first person to be elected to the Seanad’s commercial and industrial panel.

Mr McDowell was elected ahead of Fianna Fail’s Kieran Phelan and his party colleague Eddie Bohan, with Fine Gael’s Deirdre Clune also in line to win a seat.
