Workers fearful as Intel announce job cuts

Workers at Intel’s headquarters in Co Kildare could be facing cutbacks after the multi-national computer firm announced 4,000 lay-offs worldwide last night.

A statement from the company did not clarify where the jobs will be cut, but is said it hoped to reduce staff through voluntary redundancy and attrition.
