The body of Geraldine Chambers, aged 14, was discovered lying in a field with a friend close to her home at Rossgier, near Lifford in Co Donegal.

Marie Cassidy of the State Pathologist's Office carried out a post mortem this evening at Letterkenny General Hospital, which rules out foul play in the cause of death.

Gardaí say a number of further tests must yet be carried out on the body.

She was found alongside another unconscious girl. The other girl has since been taken to Letterkenny General Hospital, where she is in a critical condition..
