Greens seek investigation into all offshore accounts

The Green Party has demanded investigations into offshore accounts in all Irish financial institutions following the revelations contained in the Ansbacher report.

Party spokesman Eamon Ryan said: "Firstly, we think there do have to be prosecutions of the companies and the individuals who were involved [in the Ansbacher scheme], but secondly, we're also looking that the investigation is extended out now to look at the other banks who, from the report, its clear also had similar offshore accounts that were very suspicious."

Mr Ryan also called for an investigation into the activities of Cement Roadstone Holdings (CRH) one of the companies named in the Ansbacher report.
