Police in the North have uncovered a cache of bottles and other missiles during a routine search of the Catholic Short Strand enclave in east Belfast.

Police in the North have uncovered a cache of bottles and other missiles during a routine search of the Catholic Short Strand enclave in east Belfast.

Officers found eight crates of empty bottles, which could be used for petrol bombs, as well as nuts, bolts and lead weights during the raid in the Clandeboyne area.
