Northern communities receive funding for regeneration

Twelve deprived communities in the North, including interface areas in Belfast, are to receive an average of £1m (€1.7m) each from the European Union for urban regeneration.

The funding will be delivered through local partnership structures and will be based on a community-led assessment of the needs of each area.
