ICTU seeks resignation of pension fund chairman

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions has called on former Elan chief executive Donal Geaney to resign as chairman of the national pension reserve fund.

Earlier today, Mr Geaney resigned from his position at Elan, which is facing a US investigation into its accounting practices and is expected to face a multi-million dollar investment write-off.
