A nationalist community worker has begun legal action against the Police Service of Northern Ireland and the independent policing board after being injured by a plastic bullet fired in May.

A nationalist community worker has begun legal action against the Police Service of Northern Ireland and the independent policing board after being injured by a plastic bullet fired in May.

Peter Montgomery is also suing the chief constable of the North’s police and the British government’s Ministry of Defence because of the serious injuries he sustained in the Short Strand area of east Belfast.
