Drumcree thugs attack police in night of violence

Senior police officers are today deciding how long to keep security barriers in place preventing the Portadown Orangemen from completing their traditional route back from Drumcree church.

Heavy rain and bursts from water cannon last night finally drove the bulk of troublemakers off Drumcree Hill where they had stoned police in a bid to break through the barrier.
