Harney says Ansbacher was probably not only scam

The Tanaiste Mary Harney has admitted that there may well be other tax evasion schemes such as the one discovered at the Ansbacher Bank in the Cayman Islands.

She says that such schemes have not yet been discovered but insists that a report, which she commissioned, may reveal other such scams but that they are unlikely to be on the same scale as the Ansbacher accounts.

The Progressive Democrat leader also underlined her intention to see as many of the people revealed as Ansbacher account holders and who are found guilty of wrong doings brought to justice.

She acknowledges that it may prove difficult to secure prosecutions, but she is urging authorities to keep trying.
