Partially blind can use internet
Web sites are being adapted for visually impared people in Ireland. A leading supermarket has reformed its web site for the visually impaired.
Tesco Ireland has also launched the web site in a further attempt to broaden the appeal of on-line shopping. Blind and partially sighted shoppers can now easily do their shopping on the internet.
Des Kenny, Chief Executive of The National Council for the Blind of Ireland, said the accessible web site was a welcome move.
He called for similar services to be developed for visually impaired people in Ireland.
