Govt urged to clarify status of Monaghan hospital

Fine Gael’s Olivia Mitchell has called on the Government to clarify its intentions with regard to Monaghan General Hospital.

All emergency and elective surgery at the hospital has been cancelled due to a lack of anaesthetists and locals fear this may be the first step in a plan to close or downgrade the hospital.
